Applying for Medical Student Rotations

NOTE to  Visiting Student Applicants:  


Please apply through the departmental online applications through this site, and allow 7-10 business days for the department(s) to reply directly to your application via email.

VSLO (formerly VSAS):  If your campus participates in the Visiting Student Learning Opportunities, you may apply accordingly. 

Applications for the 2019-2020 academic year will be accepted and reviewed after May 6, 2019.


The University of Tennessee College of Medicine Chattanooga offers rotations to University of Tennessee College of Medicine junior and senior students and visiting senior students outside the UT System.  Students at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis can elect to spend all their clinical rotations in Chattanooga. Chattanooga programs offer key core clerkships (Medicine, Ambulatory Medicine, Family Medicine, Neurology, OB/GYN, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Surgery, etc.), as well as 40+senior and elective rotations. All medical student rotations at the UT College of Medicine Chattanooga are comparable to those at the main campus in Memphis. 


UT students may schedule junior and senior rotations in Chattanooga through the regular computerized scheduling system or by contacting Ruby Bland  in the Academic Affairs Office in Memphis.  


Non-UT visiting students may only elect from the 40 elective rotations during their senior year at any UT campus. Click on the link to the left (Non-UT Visiting Students) to view more detailed information about scheduling senior electives at the Chattanooga campus.
